Yo, avid basketball fans surely remember Ed O'Bannon, the 6'8" former forward for the UCLA Bruins who starred on the team with his brother Charles before being considered one of the biggest busts in NBA Draft history.

Listen close, I got duct tape and rope / I'll have you missin' like the fuckin' O'Bannons - Lil' Wayne, "Cannon Freestyle"

Find out where he's been after the stretch.

STRETCH...

Ed was a pretty much a beast, picking up damn-near every Player-of-the-year Award available while leading the Bruins to the 1995 NCAA Championship. He was drafted by the Nets that same year, but he couldn't transfer his collegiate dominance to the pro game [NBA career numbers: 5.0 PPG, 0.8 ASTS, 2.5 REB] , and found himself out of the league by the '97-'98 season.

Ed and his brother fell collectively off of everybody's radar, leaving only some wondering, "what ever happened to those guys?"

Lord only knows where Charles is, but Ed is now a car salesman in Nevada.

He says he doesn't even play ball anymore but is tempted to try coaching since he helped his young daughter make her middle school team.

He thinks he can do it, even though middle school girls' basketball isn't exactly a good measuring stick of coaching ability. Unless he wants to be a middle school girls' coach, that is.

He says he's happy and living comfortably despite no longer enjoying NBA riches (he might still have a few NBA dollars left), but he recently became the first and sole plaintiff in a class-action lawsuit filed against those rapists at the NCAA.

I wonder if Charles is slangin' cars, too...
